La Liga is back! It was a long summer for football fans, since La Liga ended up earlier to leave time for the players to rest before the Brazil World Cup.
Having lost all three matches in preseason, against Inter Milan, Manchester United and Roma, and being defeated in the first friendly match of the year against Fiorentina, Real Madrid could be disheartened. The team showed their courage beating Sevilla F.C. in the Europe Super Cup, thanks to two goals scored by Cristiano Ronaldo. The match against Atletico de Madrid fighting for the Spain Super Cup ended up in a tie result with one goal by James Rodríguez for Real Madrid and one by Raul García for Atletico de Madrid.
